Trading at Portobello Green Market is a simple and painless procedure. The market is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9am–5pm, all year round. To trade, you come as a casual trader initially. Permanent traders benefit from their own permanent spot, but must pitch up consistently every week and have started out as a casual trader.

Food vendors must have valid hygiene and licence documents. We are not currently accepting casual hot food trader spots.

On the Day

• AddressWait outside the Westway Trust, 1 Thorpe Cl, London W10 5XL. Report to the market manager — staff wear high-visibility clothing.
• ArrivalCasual traders need to arrive early, from 6:30am, to get your pitch allocated. Pitches are usually allocated after 8:30am, on a first come, first served basis.
• Pitch allocationThe number of casual trader spots varies week to week. We can't guarantee a place, but we're usually able to accommodate everyone. Your location may differ week on week depending on which permanent traders attend.
• Pre-bookingWe are not currently accepting pre-bookings on casual stalls.
